Sports Illustrated reported that Seattle had also extended Devon Witherspoon and Josh Jobe, signed former first-round pick Terrion Arnold, and acquired Avery Smith from the Los Angeles Chargers. Those moves contributed to the competition for roster spots at cornerback.
Diggs had only two practices before appearing in the preseason finale, according to Sports Illustrated. The report said he described the game as a chance to regain his football rhythm after roughly seven months without putting on equipment.

How his career reached this point

He returned in 2024 and recorded 42 tackles and two interceptions, but that season ended after 11 games. He finished the 2025 season with the Green Bay Packers before joining Seattle.
